"From Score to Stage" (Workshop)

In this workshop you will receive tips and tricks to bring your new piece from paper to the stage.
Ensemble
The clarinet ensemble unites the entire clarinet family – from the brilliant E-flat clarinet to the sonorous contrabass clarinet. Their repertoire spans a wide range: from arrangements of major symphonic works to multifaceted original compositions specially adapted for this unusual instrumentation and various levels of difficulty.
Klezmer/Modern Techniques of Playing (Workshop)
This two-part workshop explores the expressive possibilities and unique characteristics of the (clarinet) sound of Klezmer music – originally Jewish wedding music from Eastern Europe. Participants will learn typical phrasing, ornaments, scales, and rhythms, try them out, and, most importantly, internalize them "by ear" in order to approach this lyrical style of playing with a spirit of experimentation and improvisational freedom.
